.avif)
A psychoeducational evaluation helps you understand
the root of your child’s learning, attention, or emotional challenges. Many children feel discouraged or confused when school feels harder than it should. As a parent, it can be unsettling not knowing what is causing the struggle.
This evaluation helps you understand what your child is experiencing and what they need.
A Psychoeducational Evaluation Includes
- Comprehensive testing tailored to your child’s needs, through multiple sessions
- Interviews with caregivers and educators, as needed, to understand your child’s daily experiences
- Review of school records and past evaluations
- A written report in clear, easy-to-understand language
- Practical recommendations you can use at home and school to provide your child with the support they need to succeed
- Diagnosis, where applicable (common diagnoses include: ADHD, Autism, dyslexia, dysgraphia, dyscalculia, anxiety, or depression)
Families often leave feeling grounded, informed, and relieved to finally understand what their child needs and how to support them moving forward.
Independent Educational Evaluations (IEEs)
.avif)
IEEs offer a deeper and more complete understanding of
your child’s strengths and challenges, especially when a
school assessment has not provided the answers you
need.
These evaluations begin with hearing your full story,
which helps guide a thoughtful and complete evaluation
of your child’s needs.
What the Process Looks Like
- 4 to 6 in-person testing sessions, paced for your child
- 1 to 2 school observations, including classroom, transitions, and unstructured time
- Review of available school and medical records
- Interviews with parents, teachers, and support staff
- A detailed report, provided before the IEP meeting
- A parent meeting to review findings in advance
I provide support throughout the entire IEP process, including attending the IEP meeting, offering continued availability afterward for any questions that arise, and helping you understand recommendations for goals, accommodations, and next steps.
When you understand what is happening and have a plan you trust, it becomes easier to feel confident and reassured that your child is receiving meaningful support.
Testing Accommodation Assessments

Big tests and college coursework can shape future opportunities, and every student deserves the chance to show their true abilities—not just how they manage a stressful testing or classroom environment.
A testing accommodation assessment helps determine whether supports are appropriate for standardized exams such as the SAT, ACT, GRE, MCAT, and LSAT, as well as for accommodations in college or university settings.
These evaluations are especially helpful for students who experience challenges with attention, learning, processing, or anxiety that affects academic performance.
Through targeted assessment, I document your or your child’s needs thoroughly so testing agencies and colleges can make informed decisions. This process helps ensure that learning and testing conditions reflect the support your student needs to perform at their best.
Parent Coaching
.avif)
One of the most meaningful ways to support your child is to receive support yourself. Parenting shapes the tone of the entire home, and it can feel overwhelming when behavior, emotions, or daily routines begin to feel out of control. Parent coaching offers personalized guidance that helps you understand your child more clearly and make changes that truly work in daily life.
Coaching begins with a free 30-minute intake to understand your concerns. If we decide to work together, you will complete a more thorough background interview or questionnaire. Together, we create several goals and build a plan around them. Most families benefit from eight to twelve sessions, with occasional check-ins after that.
Coaching Can Help With
- Behavioral challenges and emotional regulation
- ADHD and executive functioning needs
- Family routines that feel stressful or inconsistent
- Moments when parenting feels confusing, overwhelming, or “stuck”
The heart of coaching is empowerment. You’ll walk away with practical tools, renewed confidence, and the ability to support your child effectively long after coaching ends.
Individual Counseling for Children

Counseling provides a calm, supportive space for children to understand their emotions and build skills that help daily life feel more manageable. Many children come in feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or unsure why things feel harder for them. Counseling helps them feel supported, capable, and more confident.
My approach is neurodiversity affirming. I recognize and value the different ways children think, learn, and communicate. Rather than focusing on “fixing” behaviors, we work together to understand your child’s experience and build strategies that support regulation, flexibility, and emotional growth.
Counseling Can Help With
- Anxiety and emotional regulation
- Attention challenges and overwhelm
- Low frustration tolerance
- Social or peer difficulties
The goal is for your child to feel supported and capable while giving you insight into what they need to thrive.
504 Plan and IEP Consultation
.avif)
Meetings about your child’s school needs can feel
stressful, overwhelming, and emotionally charged. Many
parents walk into 504 or IEP conversations unsure what to ask for, how to interpret evaluations, or how to speak up for what their child truly needs.
Consultation provides clarity and confidence so you do not have to navigate this process on your own.
504 Plan and IEP Consultation Includes
- Review of evaluation reports and records
- Clear explanation of results and eligibility criteria
- Guidance on preparing for 504 or IEP meetings
- Recommendations for goals, accommodations, and supports to request
- Strategies for effective communication with school teams
With guidance, the process feels less overwhelming and more collaborative, helping you advocate with clarity and confidence.
